Silver Award in the category of AI & Data Solutions at the first AI & Data Awards 2025 powered by UBITECH, at the University of Thessaly, Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence, Computing Systems, and Technological Applications (ACTA), Director: Professor Elpiniki Papageorgiou, Department of Energy Systems (ACTA).
A significant honorary distinction in the domain of Artificial Intelligence and Data was awarded to the Artificial Intelligence, Computational methods, and Technological Applications Laboratory (ACTA Lab) of the Department of Energy Systems at the University of Thessaly. This recognition is also awarded to Professor Elpiniki Papageorgiou, an expert in Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems, who serves as the Director of ACTA Lab. The accolade is in recognition of the innovative project EMERALD. Professor Elpiniki Papageorgiou and her research team were honored with the Silver Award at the AI & Data Awards 2025 in the category of “AI & Data Solutions – Best Machine Learning Solution.”
The awards ceremony for the AI & Data Awards 2025 was held on Thursday, February 27, at Technopolis City of Athens. This event was conducted under the auspices of the Ministry of Digital Governance, with support of the National Documentation Centre (EKT) and powered by UBITECH.
