The University of Thessaly, in collaboration with the JOIST Innovation Park, the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) Smart Attica, the EDIH DigiAgriFood, the JUSTReDI consortium, and the Special Account for Research Funds (ELKE) of the University of the Aegean, is organizing an open Innovation Marathon (Hackathon) titled “Tech For Aeiforia” as part of the Innovent Forum 2025.
We invite you and your team to participate in person on Saturday, February 15, at the JOIST Innovation Park in Larissa.
Awards:
1st Place: Cash prize of €5,000 from the University of Thessaly & 5 business mentoring sessions
2nd Place: Cash prize of €3,000 from the University of Thessaly & 5 business mentoring sessions
3rd Place: Cash prize of €2,000 from the University of Thessaly & 5 business mentoring sessions
4th Place: 5 business mentoring sessions, 2 free coworking space positions at the JOIST Innovation Park for 3 months, and a free 1-year subscription to the JOIST Community
Eligible Participants:
Teams of interested individuals (project teams) who will develop a proposal related to one of the following challenge themes:
A. Energy and Environment
In particular:

- Strengthening regional resilience to the impacts of climate change
B. Agri-Food Sector in the Context of the Green and Digital Transition
- Rational management and protection of natural resources in agricultural production
- Agrologistics 4.0
- System interoperability in Agri-food
- Food Traceability with Blockchain
- Sustainable Water Management
- AI and Image Analysis applications in agri-food
