The Innovation, Technology Transfer Unit and Entrepreneurship Center “One Planet Thessaly” of the University of Thessaly is launching for the first time a series of innovation and entrepreneurship seminars for all members of the academic community — students, researchers, and academic staff.
This initiative is part of the project SUB2: “Universities of Excellence” (OPS TA 5180665), implemented through the Recovery and Resilience Fund “Greece 2.0”, aiming to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking within the university.
According to Professor Chrysi Laspidou, Vice-Rector for Innovation, Internationalization, Collaborations, and Digital Governance:
The seminars will be held in the five cities where the University of Thessaly operates — Volos, Larissa, Trikala, Karditsa, and Lamia — under the title:
“How an opportunity, an idea, and a technology combine into a successful business model.”
Participants will be introduced to the process of identifying an opportunity, shaping a business idea, and developing a functional business model through case studies and hands-on exercises.
Instructors: Apostolos Vetsikas, Vasiliki Georgatzi, Petros Dimas, and Ioanna Kastelli
Duration: 1.5 hours per seminar
📅 First Cycle Schedule (October 2025)
