The Innovation-Transfer Technology Unit and Entrepreneurship Center of the University of Thessaly (UTH), known as 'One Planet Thessaly,' aims to enhance the research capabilities of UTH, strengthen its interface with industry, facilitate knowledge transfer to society and promote the concept of entrepreneurship within the academic community.

One Planet Thessaly comprises the Technology Transfer and Innovation Unit, the Entrepreneurship Center, and the Centre of Excellence.

MISSION

The objectives of the Unit are as follows:

• Registration/legal protection of the research results of innovative products, services and know-how produced within the University of Thessaly, such as with a Patent, Industrial Design, secret Know-how, Copyright Timestamping, etc.
• Promotion of Research and Innovation produced in University of Thessaly.
• The establishment of collaborations between the University and industry professionals or entrepreneurs.
• The update and training of the research staff of the UTH concerning entrepreneurship and the protection of intellectual property rights.
• Participation in negotiations for the commercial exploitation of research results with potential interested investors.
