The University of Thessaly celebrates International Women’s Day! 🌍💜The Head of the One Planet Thessaly unit and Vice-Rector, Professor Chrysi Laspidou, has invited the female faculty members of the university to respond to the question: Why is it important to empower women at the University of Thessaly?

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the University of Thessaly, in collaboration with Professor Chrysi Laspidou—who serves as the Vice-Rector for Innovation, Internationalization, Collaborations, and Digital Governance, as well as the Head of the One Planet Thessaly unit—extended an invitation to female faculty members to respond to the inquiry:

“Why is it important to empower women at the University of Thessaly?”

Inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), this initiative seeks to underscore the significance of equality, support, and opportunities for all individuals.

The University of Thessaly extends its heartfelt gratitude to Professors Paraskevi Tsoutsa, Vaia Prassa, Christina Karatzaferi, Georgia Gemenetzi, Dorothea Kasiteropoulou, Eleni Lachana, Olga Gortzi, Maria Malliarou, and Eftihia Nathanail for their invaluable contributions. Their voices serve as a source of inspiration for future generations and play a vital role in enhancing the representation of women in education, research, and leadership.
